'Very much pleased with the new title of uncle'. Has been sent up for the fourth time, for an exercise on ambition. Last Saturday Keate wanted to revive a useless absence; 'warmly opposed' by the boys and all last week proses from Keate and hissings from the boys were 'the constant companions of our wise and lofty Head Master'. When he attempted the absence today a ring was made around him and all exclaimed 'A Bull-Bait'. He is very weak, and sent for the masters to assist him, who finally managed it. Threatened to put the school to their honours and began today with Sixth Form. The Captain gave his but the rest refused. There will be a week's prose and if he attempts the absence again he will receive the same treatment.
