Fanny Keate: Letter from Countess Pauline Neale
Item
9 January 1811
From 58 South Audley Street. Back in London, feels for the fears of everyone in Berlin. Hopes Fanny does not have bad headaches. Everyone so kind in London. Pleased to see Mrs Bowen (?) and Miss Jennings, she met the former at St James's and recognised her immediately under her veil. Tho' she heard nobody was in town, life seems to be carrying on in the gayest terms and there are many parties and invitations. Hopes to come to Eton and no longer has Charlotte with her, hopes it is alright if she comes without a maid. Can she bring her dog, which she acquired in Heligoland. Hopes the children behave for the dear Doctor and that he is spared his right executiv power (underlined)
