Fanny Keate: Letter from Countess Pauline Neale
Item
11 February 1851
Wishing a good married life to Louisa. Letter continued a few days later thanks for details of the wedding day. Envisages the wedding day and the bridesmaids. Mourning the loss of one so much younger than her, in her house. Feels for her having to go to Windsor and leave Hartley and the peace for the bustle and crowds that the railroads bring with the visitors in their millions coming to see the Castle of olden times when they are visiting the 'Cristal Palace in town'. Glad that Edmund W has been asked to superintend some works there.
'I told Lady W. of the Duke having been out with his guns at Stratf. he is indeed a wonderful person in every possible sense.
