Margaretta Brown: Letter from Fanny Keate
Item
20 November 1812
Written to Margaretta, from Fanny grateful for the soothing and affectionate attention she receives in her affliction from the 'best of husbands in the profession'. She had thought her mother would go out like a candle and a paralytic stroke had never entered her head. She was so sorry to be no comfort to mother father or Margaretta. Mrs Hoseason has been most kind, a true friend. No person could be more deserving than Mama to go to a better world. Mr Keate has written to 'every friend of ours we could possibly recollect'.
Addressed to Miss Brown, Clenchwarton, near Lynn, Norfolk. Crossed out and readdressed to 'at Sir Andrew Hamonds, Terrington'
