Margaretta Brown: Letter from Fanny Keate
Item
19th Century
Written from 1/2 .... Bedroom or Lumber Room No. 39 Curzon Street.
Robert Keate brought the Trotters to visit and though she did not escort them in their licensing Eliza went with them to breakfast at the Castle, Chapel, Cumberland Lodge, Frogmore and anywhere. They then came to dinner. They went to the Terrace which was 'very rag tag and no Royal Family'.
'The Pot is full under the bed and I cannot move it as J. Keate has been sitting here all the time'. Fanny is 'grown as fat as a little pig' Egham races so pretty and full of company, much better than Ascot.
Addressed to Miss Brown, Mudeford.
