Item
17 June 1795
Addressed to 'Mr Baratty No 9. Inner Temple Lane London Angleterre.' Talks of his illness and regret in hearing that there is not the smallest idea of peace in England, not in the House of Commons but by the merchants and those most intrusted to end the war. Expresses his opinions on current affairs, including his pleasure that many immigrants have returned to France. Forwarded to 'John Durnford's Esq. Leatherhead Surrey.' Written from Lausanne.
