Two manuscript notebooks, in Cory’s hand inscribed on the inside cover ‘Wm. Johnson Esqre, April 23 1853’
The both contain ‘sense’ for Latin prose and verse, with occasional notes suggesting the word or construction to be used.

Provenance
The notebooks were possibly given to Edmond Warre, who was also an assistant master at Eton College at the same time as Cory (and later became headmaster). Warre taught C. R. L. Fletcher at Eton. The notebooks were in Warre's possession by the time he wrote his biography on Warre in 1922.
