Content description
The autograph letters were written while Thesiger was stationed in Congo. They describe his daily activities, the people he met and his experiences whilst he was there. They also describe the political situation at the time. The majority were sent to his mother, however some of the later letters were sent to Kathleen, his future wife and to Mr and Mrs McLeod.
