Content description
Marked as ‘Version C’, the file contains a ‘Rough draft for the Introduction’, written in Thesiger’s hand. The text includes a number of corrections and some sections have been rewritten on a separate piece of paper and stapled over the original page. The phrasing of a number of the passages differs from ‘Version A’ and ‘Version B’ and it is longer than his earlier drafts. It is this version that more closely resembles the final text.
