- Printout of a top-copy corrected typescript of ‘The Danakil Diary’. This is the first photocopy of the original corrected typescripts made from the ‘1930 Coronation Diary’ and the three volumes covering his journey in Danakil country, 1933-1934. It contains corrections made by Alexander Maitland before the photocopy was made and afterwards.
- Alexander Maitland’s notes containing a summary of the diary entries.
- Printout of corrected typescripts of selected entries which contain Alexander Maitland’s corrections
- Photocopied of selected letters from Thesiger to his mother, which were to be transcribed into book.
- Revise page proofs of ‘The Danakil Diary’ produced by HarperCollins publishers on 4 September 1996
