Content description
Containing individual printed messages from Montgomery to be read out to the 8th Army Group. Montgomery use of these ‘personal messages’ used to inspire the soldiers was one of the most frequent among the Generals and Field Marshalls. A number of the messages have been signed by Montgomery.
Also included is a bound volume containing each message delivered between the 23 October 1942 and 31 December 1943. The volume contains a personalised autograph dedication from Montgomery to Johnny Henderson and is dated Berlin 8 August 1945.
