Containing individual printed messages from Montgomery to be read out to the 21st Army Group. Montgomery use of these ‘personal messages’ used to inspire the soldiers was one of the most frequent among the Generals and Field Marshalls. The messages have been signed by Montgomery.
It includes the message read to the troop on the 5 June 1944, the eve of D-Day, and a 1944 Christmas message.
Also included is a bound volume containing each message delivered between 6 June 1944 and the surrender of the German Forces in May 1945. The volume contains an autograph dedication from Montgomery to Johnny Henderson and is dated Germany 16 June 1945.
