Containing autograph letters from Eric Williams to his mother-in-law and other documents relating to Williams including photographs and press cuttings.
Also included with the papers are papers relating to provenance of the letters and documents.

The letters were collected by Mrs G. Roberts, Eric Williams’s mother-in-law. They were passed down the family to her grandson John Harrison who passed the letters to Eton College Library.
The original order of the documents, at the time of acquisitions has been maintained. The letters sent during, and immediately after Williams’s imprisonment in Stalag Luft 3, were held in a separate envelope, as were the press cuttings relating to his book ‘The Three Wonders’.
