This series contains material collected by Clunes during his adulthood and reflects not only his career as an actor, but also his wider professorial and personal interests, including his writings on the theatre and other matters and his venture into antiquarian bookselling.
Material relating to his theatrical career makes up the bulk of the papers, consisting of correspondence, press cuttings and photographs.
The personal papers are predominantly administrative in nature, with the exception of his mother’s diaries and papers relating to her cousin Bridget Sinclair Stevenson.
