Geoffrey R. Gunther was one of 3 brothers. He attended Eton (M.D.H.) and served as 2nd Lieutenant in the Grenadier Guards during WWI. He was killed at Preux-le-Sar, France, on 4th November 1918 ( a week before the Armistice). His youngest brother, Leslie, died in an aeroplane crash in 1922.

Content description

7 leaves of schoolwork of Geoffrey R. Gunther presumably from his time at Eton. The schoolwork consists of historical essays and all leaves have markings and comments in a different hand. All leaves are signed by Gunther but most are undated. One leaf has "March 20th" in top right corner. 2 leaves also contain pencil sketches by Gunther.
