Ezra Pound (30 October 1885-1 November 1972) was an expatriate American poet and critic, a major figure in the early modernist poetry movement, and a fascist sympathiser. Her was first in contact with Moelwyn Merchant during Pound’s time in St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, when Merchant provided help with Pound’s Cantos. Merchant continued to take an interest in Pound’s life and poetry, writing various articles on Pound.

Relating to both Ezra and Dorothy Pound, the papers include letters from both to Merchant, as well as papers relating to Merchant’s interest in Pound’s life and career. Some papers relating to Ezra Pound’s son Omar are also included.
