The film ‘The Bible’ was produced by Dino De Laurentiis with a screenplay by Christopher Fry. They had previously collaborated together on the film ‘Barabbas’.
It was a multi-million dollar production of ‘the Bible’ in its entirety, divided into three films. Moelwyn Merchant was employed as a treatment writer/ special consultant, for the two films that covered the Old Testament. He particularly dealt with the sequences dealing with the Creation, Cain and Abel, the Story of Moses and the Ten Commandments
