Holmstrom archive: Papers relating to Jerry Jarratt
Series
During the Second World War L.A. (known as Jerry) Jarratt served in the R.A.F. as a navigator. He had a particular fondness for the theatre, and briefly considered a professional acting career before deciding to become a teacher. He joined the teaching staff at Eton in 1965 as a French and Spanish master, where he also became heavily involved in school productions, producing a number of popular plays during his time.

The papers consist mainly of private correspondence and material relating to Jarratt’s diaries and journals, which were edited by Michael Woolly, but never published. Some wider family papers and personal photographs are also included.
