Administrative / Biographical history

Elizabeth Barrett Williams (1754-1834) was the daughter of Mary Barrett (1727-1810) and Henry Waite (d.1766). She first married Martin Williams (1723-1786), with whom she had four children. She later formed a relationship with her first cousin Samuel Barrett (1765-1794), son of Edward and Judith Barrett, and had four more children. This made her both niece and daughter-in-law to Edward and Judith Barrett.

She was in England when Samuel died in 1794 and settled in Milverton, Warwickshire, around 1800, where her father's Waite family lived. She also lived with her sister, Mary Barrett Lockhead, in Gloucester Place, London. She was a friend of Mary (Trippy) Trepsack, close friend of her cousin Elizabeth Moulton.

Elizabeth Barrett Williams died in Leamington, Warwickshire, in 1834.
