Content description
Images, mostly photographs, of places relating to the Brownings. The collection has a series of mounted photographs of places related to Pen Barrett-Browning, including Asolo, the Rio San Barnaba in Venice and Hawkwell Place in Pembury. There is an engraving of the house in Pisa where Robert Browning and Elizabeth Barrett-Browning spent the first weeks of their marriage by Viviano Viviani and a mounted photograph of Llangollen and a photograph of the drawing room in Edward Mouton-Barrett's family house, where Pen Barrett-Browning's painting of a Venetian scene can be seen hanging on the wall.
It also includes postcards of 19 Warwick Crescent and Maison Milsand and photographs of Hope End, Casa Guidi, the Palazzo Ca Rezzonico in Venice and Asolo. There is also a collection of early 20th century photographs of Florence.

Provenance
The early 20th century photographs of Florence were acquired from Sir James Spooner. The collection of photographs of places related to Pen Barrett-Browning and the photograph of Llangollen were originally owned by Sarianna Browning, then by Fannie Coddington. They are all inscribed in Fannie's hand on the back.
The engraving of the house in Pisa where Robert and Elizabeth spent the first weeks of their marriage was given to Eton College Library by Professor Elsa [...] Rossi, Pisa University.
