Facsimile of two days to a page diary, used by Craig to record his daily appointments and other memoranda. Some days contains Craig’s recollection of the day’s events, passing comments about current affairs or a description of the work he has done. Included throughout the diary are newspaper cuttings, mostly relating to the theatre or events he attended, and rough sketches and designs by Craig.
The entries cover the birth of Gordon Craig’s first daughter Rosie on 8 April and his time with the W.S. Hardy Shakespeare Company.
The photocopy contains autograph annotations by Edward A. Craig clarifying certain entries in the volume.
Also contained amongst the archive is a typescript copy of the diary [Contained in EGC notebooks and daybooks box]
