Facsimile of a notebook used by Craig to record his ideas and his thoughts. Included throughout the daybook are photographs, including the places he visited, his workrooms and his designs. It also includes newspaper cuttings that interested Gordon Craig, or which relate to his work, as well as some of his rough sketches and designs.
The entries cover Craig’s time in Italy. It includes comments on the theatre and his theatrical theories; the Arena Goldoni; Ellen Terry and notes on his financial affairs. Some of the pages and photographs have later annotations by Gordon Craig dating from the 1930s-1950s
