Content description
Two typed letters from Florence Hardy, on Thomas Hardy's behalf, to Nat Sparks. The letters are dated 17 June 1917 and 15 March 1918 and are written from Max Gate, Dorchester. Both letters are signed by Florence Hardy and a postscript is added in her hand at the bottom of the earlier letter. There is a manuscript note by Florence accompanying the 1918 letter - it is a transcription of an entry that Hardy found in his notebook that refers to relatives of the Sparks. She sent it with the letter.
