Although better known as a poem, Williams was a journalist who also wrote two travel books and regularly contributed to newspaper and magazine columns. Most notable among these was his ‘Freelance’ column written for the Times Literary Supplement.
This series represents his prose writing from his travel books through to his various columns and miscellaneous articles. It includes drafts, notes, correspondence and other related literary papers.
