Francis Thackeray Warre Cornish (1871-1901), son of Francis and Blanche Warre Cornish, studied at Winchester College and at the Royal Military College, Sandhurst. He was a talented artist and studied drawing in Germany. He served with the 13th Somerset Light Infantry at Gibraltar and India from 1892 to 1895 before transferring to the 17th Bengal Lancers. He died in a shooting accident at Rawalpindi, India in 1901.
