Begun in 1994, the Brent-Eton summer scheme is a week-long residential course, run with Brent youth service, for 40-50 post-GCSE pupils from Brent's state secondary schools. Children are taught by Eton teachers, then take part in creative and sporting activities in the afternoons, with lectures and public speaking in the evenings. It aims at bridging the gao between GCSE and A-level.
