Content description
Although the 1864 Public Schools Commission Report throws detailed light on the organisation of the school at that time, there was no formal inspection until 1936. That resulted in a report only, as did the inspection of 1955. However, the inspection of 1998 by representatives of the Head Masters' Conference, and subsequent inspections by various bodies, required the preparation of detailed paperwork which provides useful snapshots of the organisation, staffing, teaching and daily life of the school and the boys.
