Content description
Applications from students applying for grants to fund their travel expenses. Applications are for both personal trips and trips which are organised by the school. Each form includes the boy’s name and house, his proposed reason and project for travelling, how much it will cost and how much they wish to apply for concerning the grant. Also includes an endorsement by the boy’s house master. In the proposed reason for the grant the boys state various different intentions.
Some boys applied for funding in order to aid them on; school trips especially to Russia; some boys wished to teach English in other countries such as Honduras whilst some wished to do relief work in countries such as India; some boys applied for funding so they may see potential universities, especially in the U.S.A.; most boys applied for funding so they may go on trips which would aid in their academic ventures, such as tours of famous galleries to help with art history, or a tour of Greece to aid in history and Greek language. Some boys wished to travel alone whilst others would go accompanied with other Etonians.
