Queen slightly more responsive on presentation of the anthem. Thomas Pope (Conduct) has behaved very foolishly in complaining he was not offered a living. Sir Francis Watkin has now been invited to dine with the Queen. Contrary to rumour, Dr Davys [Queen's former tutor] was not offered the bishopric of Hereford but a deanery, on condition of always using his interest for the ministry.
