Lord John Russell has interfered with the Visitors of Travers College by granting licences to two Naval Knights; for the first time he and the Governor of Windsor Castle [Earl of Munster] attended the Visitation; he has been very tenacious of the trust. Attended levee; Queen looked very well in scarlet; Duke of Cambridge very kind. Has found medal commemorating publication of Boydell's Shakespeare. Could have used Miss B. Coutts' box at the theatre.
