Wishes the fatigues of next day [Founder's Day] over; 22 Provosts, Fellows, Masters, Assistants and Conducts, a brace of judges, our old colleague Lonsdale and five actual and former Kingsmen. Meant to give books to George Irving; will leave with an excellent character. Joseph Thackeray reinstated as Dean of Divinity at Cambridge. Cannot have a fire till his grate is repaired. Waters subsiding very rapidly.
