Content description
Uncertain whether he has paid his subscription to the Archidiaconal Board of Education for the County of Buckinghamshire. Study hearth mended; climbing boy to be sent up. Publication of works on coins; has doubted all along if Ackerman would be able to do it. Audit as productive as expected. John Dench buried in the new part of the churchyard under the east window, Smithers promoted to Under Butler and his present servant John made Groom. Submitted the choice of an incumbent for Nash to the Bishop of LLandaff who has chosen Mr Pope; pecuniary advantage little but desirable on account of the exchange of duties [with Christchurch] which the Bishop thinks will help both livings. Received a turkey from Miss Burdett Coutts.PLACE: The Lodge, Eton College
