Indented bill of sale by Harry Ryley, bursar of Eton College, and the College, to Hugh Wakeham and Thomas Baker of a parcel of wood growing upon the Wyke in Modbury, now in the tenure of John Rous and William Rede for the sum of 43s:4d of which the bursar acknowledges the receipt of 23s:4d the residue to be paid at the next court. The said Wakeham and Baker agree to leave all manner of underwood growing on the aforesaid ground, also to save the spring thereof if possible, and they shall have liberty to fell and carry away wood in the spcae of two years next following.
