Indenture of lease, by the Provost and College of Eton to Walter Hele of Spridlestone in Brticton, Co. Devon, and Robert Warringe of South Ludbrooke in Modbury, of the Priory, rectory and parsonage of Modbury, and the manors of Modbury, Upton, and Penquite and a tenement in Notter, Co. Cornwall, and eight closes (named) of land in Modbury, parcels of the manor of Upton, and a cottage sometime helf by Michael Mallet, and a tenement or cottage with three closes of landnamed), late held by Michael Mallett; excepting the advowson of the vicarage and all great timber. To hold from Michaelmass last for 21. years, for a yearly rent of 46li : 8s : 10d and twenty three quarters, two bushels of wheat and 62. quarters of malt at Michaelmass or their equivalent in money at the current rate of the market of Windsor, and 6li : 9s : 6d which is a recent increase of the rent, and ten pounds for the perquisites of courts and other casualties.
