Notes of a plea in the King's bench at Westminster before John Baldewyn, knight, and his fellow justices, Easter 36 Henry VIII. Agnes Sterkey, late of New Windsor, co. Berks, widow, was attached to answer to the Provost and College of the Blessed Mary of Eton by Windsor, co. Bucks, who complain by Thomas Chalfount, their attorney, that on 10 April 34 Henry VIII she forcibly broke their close in New Windsor, and they have suffered damage to the extend of 100s. And Agnes by Robert Wodleff, her attorney, says that she is not guilty of the trespass, ans places herself on the country, then Provost and College likewise. Order to the sheriff to summon a jury within 5 weeks of Easter.
At Westminster before Edward Montagu, knight and his fellow justices, Hilary 37 Henry VIII, plea aforesaid deferred to quindene of Easter unless the Justices of Assize first come by Monday before the feast of St Matthias the Apostle at Grauntpount, co. Berks (?).
On 11 February in the same term the Justices deliverd to John Reymond, deputy sheriff, a writ de apparencia Nisi Prius, Monday before the feast of St Valentine the Martyr at Grauntpont, for the College of Eton.
