Stratfield Saye, Hampshire: Indenture of lease of land

Indenture of lease by brother William Helyes, prior of the priory of St Leonard of Stratfield Saye, to Rober Jewer and Matilda, his wife, and John, his son, for their lives in survivorship, of two crofts of arable land called les Acres lying together in le Wyk between the land of John Godhyne on the south and la Bataille Londe on the north. Rent 2s and one day haymaking. If the lessees do any building on the premises they are to have timber from the lessor for doing so and are not to cut the trees growing around the crofts except for housbote heybote and fuyrbote.
