Indenture of lease, by William Daye, Provost, and the College of Eton, to Thomas Harryson of Stratfieldsaye, co. Berks, gentleman, of the manor or priory of Stratfieldsaye, except for all woods there which are reserved to the lessors together with convenient access to the same. From Michaelmas next for 52 years. Rent £10 16s and to the lords of Burghfylde [Burghfield] and Stratfield Saye for their two ancient customary rents, 2s to each of them. The following former leases are recited: 2 May 1538, to Thomas Anton or Antan, from Michaelmas 1549 for 20 years, rent £11 and 20 June 1557 to Thomas Antan, gentleman, from Michaelmas 1569 for 20 years rent £10 16s.
