Everdon, Northamptonshire
Series
The original endowment of the College, of 26 March 1441, included a farm and rent of £30 which Sir William Phelip paid for the custody of the alien priories of Creeting St Mary in Suffolk and Everdon in Northamptonshire, which he held on a ten year lease from Michaelmas 1437; with the reversion of the property. The grant was confirmed by Parliament and, in 1468, by Edward IV.
The college administration of the Everdon and Weedon Bec estates overlapped a good deal, with the result that many records relating to one place are to be found in the catalogue for the other estate.
