Date
3 February 1718
Content description
Nathaniel Coddington, West Wrotham, 3 February 1717/18, to the Rev. Mr Sleech concerning the estate after Mr Crask’s death. He thinks Mr Crask assigned his lease to one Mr Bradfield, his son in law. “There are sad complaints from almost every one he” (Mr Crask) “had to deal with and particularly he has played but a slippery trick with the under-tenant who is an honest and responsible man, one that in a small time has brought your estate which was miserably impoverish’t into a good condition, which I am sensible of by the increase I find in my tythes.”
