Indenture of lease, 10 October 1623, by the Provost and College, upon the surrender of his former lease, to John Smyth, of Eton, cook, of two messuages or tenements with two gardens and two backsides belonging, together with all cellars, sollers, stables, kitchens and other appurtenances, in Eton, between the tenement of Peter Windesors, esquire, on the south and a tenement of Thomas Dickinsons on the north and the King’s highway on the west, the messuages being now in the occupation of the said Smyth and of Mary Harbert, widow. From Michaelmas last for 21 years. Rent 23s 4d.
