Indenture of lease, by William Daye, Provost, and John Barker, Matthew Page, William Smyth, Matthew Bust, John Welles, Baldwin Collins and John Reve, fellows of the College, to Alexander Coton, of Eton, gentleman, of an orchard and close of meadow or pasture containing an acre and a half in Eton, abutting on the east upon the common street, on the west upon the King's ditch, on the north upon the College land demised to William Bayly and now in the tenure of the said Alexander, and on the south upon the house and orchard now in the tenure of Baldwin Collins; and all other lands and tenements in Eton which they lately bought of John Trevilian of Cleder, co. Cornwall, esquire, and Peter Trevilian, his son and heir apparent, by deed of 15 June 1575. From Michaelmas next for 72 years. Rent 6s 8d.
