Content description
Receipt by John le Thresshar of Wockyngham and Emma Neggild, his wife, from John le Chapman, "le Cigne" of Eton of £5 silver to traffic for the profit of the said John le Chapman from the day of the making of these present to Michaelmas next at which date he is bound to Chapman for the £5 together with the profit therefrom. If Chapman is not molested by Thresshar in respect of a toft of land in Eton lying in la Wyke which he has of the gift of Thresshar, then the bond will be void. (French).
