Six deeds copied on one membrane endorsed Copies of Charters for certian lands and tenements in Wyknefelde for Thomas Smyth of Glastonbury. The date probably not much later than that of the latest deed, viz 1374.
Grant by William Moghenhod, of Ascote in Wynkefeld, to dominus William de Rypon, parochial chaplain of Wynkefeld, and Richard, son of the late Thomas the Shepherd (Berkar') at Strethend, of the same, of 4 acres of land in the same parish, two acres in Hyremer, which were purchased from William Chabeham, lying between the land of Henry at Hacche on the north and that of William Pyers on the south, one head extending on the land of Richard Kas on the east, the other on the King's way leading from Ascote towards the King's forest on the west, and two acres at Garstoneshull between land of the heir of John Dokeman, sometime vicar of Wynkefeld on the south and that of Robert Freke on the north, one head extending on the land called Brodestrod on the west and the other head on a path called Garstoneshullane on the east.
