Licence for Richard Copcot and John Same to alienate in mortmain to Roger Lupton, Provost, and the College the manor of Piriton alias Pirton [Pyrton] alias Odynsellys, co. Hertford, and 20 messuages, 14 tofts, 600 acres of arable, 200 acres of meadow, 200 acres of pasture, 100 acres of wood, 300 acres of heath and 100s rent in Pyriton, Ikylford [Ickleford], Offeley [Offley] and Ramarswike [Ramerwick] , which are extended at £10 a year according to an inquisition taken before Thomas Knyghton, eschaetor in co. Hertford. To hold in the value of £10 2s a year. They are licensed to acquire lands to the value of £20 a year. Given at Westminster.
