Content description
Grant in frankalmoign by William de Solariis to the abbey of S Sauveur of Coutances of the church of Ellingham (Alingeham) co. Hants, which is in honor of St Mary and All saints, and in the same vill half a carucate of arable and 20 acres of meadow and 3 acres for the building of their houses and all common in lands, pastures and waters; for his soul and the souls of his ancestors and the soul of earl Richard, his uncle.
Seal, round, about 35mm, natural colour wax, green varnish, slightly worn at sides, on doubled tag, in torn dark brown cloth wrapping. A hound passing from right to left. A legend (worn and illegible).
