Indenture between Townley Ward, of Henrietta Street, Convent Garden, esquire, of the first part, Michael Blount, esquire, of the second part, the Bishop of Oxford, of the third part, the Provost and Fellows of Eton, of the fourth part, and Edward Tew, of the fifth part, by which Ward, at the direction of Blount, has exchanged with the college and Tew part of Mill field adjoining the vicarage house, which field runs parallel with the Thames, from which it is separated by a narrow strip of meadow, and contains 10 acres 1 rood 26 perches, also a piece of arable called Lamb's Pightle containing 1 acre 1 rood and a piece of nursery and garden ground opposite the vicarage to the south east containing 2 roods and divers small parcels (specified). The vicar shall pay 32s in consideration of the redemption of land tax. Provisions concerning the upkeep of walls and fences. An indenture of 1 August 1801 (ECR 48 050) concerning the redemption of land tax is recited.
