John Shaw, Christ's Hospital, to the Rev George Bethell, concerning an application from Mr Henry Bassett of the Southampton Office for about 380ft frontage of the Chalcots estate next the Hampstead Road. "This offer appears to me very desirable to accept especially as Mr Bassett will be likely to set an example on the estate of a superior and more elegant style of building than can be expected from a mere builder."
