Tripartite indenture between John Smart, chaplain, of Langeleye Marreys, and John atte Nassh, of the same, of one part, John Bridhame, junior, of the same, son of Roger Bridhame, and Agnes, his wife of the said John, of the second part, and Richard Bakere, of Dutton, of the third part, by which Smart and Nassh grant to Bridhame and his wife a messuage and 2½ acres of land in Langeleye Marreys which the lessors had in fee of the gift of John Shepherd. The messuage is situated between tenements of Richard Pope on the south and Hugh Bouet on the north, and ½ acre lies in Slofurlonge between the land of John Hale on the west and that of Lawrence Dabron on the east, ½ acre ihn Shortforlonge between the land of John Hale on the south and that of Richard Crawford on the north, ½ acre on Middelforlonge between the land of William Blakemore on the north and that of John Hounte on the south, ½ acre on Bromforlonge between the land of John Hale on the east and that of William Rothewell on the west, and ½ acre on Lomere between the land of William le Eyr on the south and the land of John Remnenam on the north. To be held by the lessees and the heirs of their bodies, with remainder to Richard Bakere.
Witnesses: Thomas Wyot, John Hale, Richard Pope, John Dary, Henry Randelf.
Three seals, red wax, on doubled tags.
(1) There is a hole for the tag, marked 'capell' (ie Smart), but no tag or seal.
(2) Round, 16mm. Between ears of corn I.
(3) Fragmentary (Bakere).
