Henry Jocelyn Clive Graham was at Eton in C.H. Everard's house from 1888-1892, he subsequently joined the Army, reaching the rank of Captain. After serving 1899-1904 as ADC to the Earl of Minto, Governor-General of Canada, he retired and acted as Lord Rosebery's private secretary 1904-1906. He later became a writer and publisher's reader.
