[1840-1954]

Content description

Mary Coleridge was a poet, author and essayist and each strand of her literary pursuits are repressed in this collection.

The papers also include personal and family papers, particularly relating to her father Arthur Duke Coleridge and her sister Florence. Also included are papers relating to Ella Coltman and a holiday to Freshwater she took with the Coleridge family.

The material was collected by the Newbolt family over several generations and therefore the contents extend beyond Mary Coleridge to include papers relating to her, this includes material relating to the posthumously published collections of her writings and secondary information on her life and work.
